Watch the Global Day of Prayer in Israel - Jewish and Arab Believers pray and worship together.

Your People My People was privileged to be able to attend last year’s Global Day of Prayer in Israel and to witness firsthand the wonderful display of unity, as Jewish and Arab Pastors repented and washed each others feet. Below are some video clips of last years GDOP in Nazareth. God’s heart was blessed to see these Middle Eastern brothers and sisters 'dwelling together in unity'.

Lets stand with the organisers of the Global Day of Prayer in Israel as they prepare for this years gathering on Sunday 12th June. Pray for:
  • Arab & Jewish leaders to respond to God’s calling for repentance and also to attend this event.
  • An outpouring of the Spirit of repentance over the churches & leaders, for Arab & Jewish believers to be one in Spirit.
  • Pray for a spirit of wisdom & revelation as the details are prepared for this event, such as logistics & the program to be laid according to heaven's agenda.
  • Pray for financial provision to cover the expenses of this event. The organisers need around $4000 to cover the costs.
  • Join us in asking the Holy Spirit to prepare the hearts of the believers, Arabs & Jews, for this time of genuine, real repentance.
  • Pray for the worship teams, both Arab & Jewish, to be led by the Holy Spirit and release the sound of heaven for breakthrough.

"Yet even now," declares the LORD, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments." Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster. Gather the people. Consecrate the congregation; assemble the elders; gather the children, even nursing infants. Let the bridegroom leave his room, and the bride her chamber.
(Joel 2:12-13,16)

הג שבועות שמח - Hag Shavuot Sameach - Happy Pentecost!

Shavuot is the Hebrew name of the Feast we know as Pentecost.  Both words come from God's command to count 7 weeks or 50 days from Passover and then to celebrate the end of the harvest.  This year Shavuot starts at sundown on 7th June and concludes at sundown on the 8th.  There are many traditions associated to this Feast, one of which is to eat dairy products.  There are various suggestions as to the reason for this tradition but in keeping with the season, we thought you may be interested to try your hand at Israeli Cheesecake!

10 Day Prayer Initiative as Arab and Jewish Believers Pray Together

The world has witnessed a season of major transition and shaking in the Middle East. This is the time to pray and seek God for this whole region. In Israel, Arab and Jewish believers will come together to do just that on Pentecost Sunday 12th June, to join with Christians who will be praying in many nations around the world during the Global Day of Prayer.

The Nazareth prayer ministry HOPE, led by Arab Christian, Rania Sayegh, will be conducting the Global Day of Prayer gathering in Israel in cooperation with the Evangelical Association of Arab Churches. This is the 5th year that believers in Israel  have joined this International prayer initiative and the 2nd year that both Jewish and Arab believers will come together to pray and repent for the nation of Israel.

Your People My People was privileged to be able to attend last year’s gathering in Israel and to witness firsthand the wonderful display of unity, as Jewish and Arab Pastors repented and prayed together. One of the highlights of the day was when the Arab Pastors washed the feet of the Jewish Pastors and then the Jewish Pastors reciprocated.  The Holy Spirit was working on the hearts of both Arab & Jew and much healing took place that  day.

This symbol of love and humility ignited a dance of joy that zigzagged around the room and culminated in an exuberant, joyful time of praise. God’s heart was blessed to see these Middle Eastern brothers and sisters 'dwelling together in unity'.
“The Lord has promised if we humble ourselves and seek His face and turn from our wicked way,” said Rania, “ He will come and forgive us and heal our land! We are standing on this promise to see healing released back to Nazareth and all of Israel!”
