Boots On The Ground

Karen and Amanda from Your People My People are on the ground in Israel this autumn serving the local believers. Here are two of the events they are putting boots on the ground to support...

ARAB DEBORAH CONFERENCE:  RELEASING ARAB WOMEN INTO SPIRITUAL FREEDOM

Amanda spent a week at Yad Hashmona, a Messianic Conference centre in the hills, just outside Jerusalem, helping HOPE-Nazareth with their Arab Deborah conference. Around two hundred Arab Christian women came together to receive teaching, ministry and healing.  What a privilege to play a small part in helping women receive breakthrough and freedom in their lives, both emotionally and spiritually. God showed up and was amazing!

So many huge breakthroughs happened but we just want to share this little testimony to show how God is interested in the smallest details.

I sat down next to a young girl and two older women from the same church.. One of the older women told me that the young girl wanted to know if God speaks to people. I affirmed that yes, He does. She asked me if I had a word from God for her.  The Holy Spirit gave me a picture of a diver bringing up a pearl from the seabed,  it was covered in a hard shell but when the shell was prised open, the precious pearl was revealed.. I didn't have a specific interpretation so told her to wait and see if God would speak to her more about the pearl. That evening, the speaker was a local Pastor, who during his message described exactly the same picture of the diver and the pearl.   Later, I saw this young girl had gone forward for prayer to be filled with the Holy Spirit. She left the conference on fire and assured of God's hand on her life!

‘FIRST NATION’  GROUPS WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY -  FEAST OF TABERNACLES,  JERUSALEM

A network of leaders from ‘First Nations’ around the world have asked Jewish Messianic Believers, as the “Firstborn among the nations,” to invite them, their families and tribes to Jerusalem to prophetically “Welcome the King of Glory in his Holy City.” The event will take place during the Feast of Tabernacles and Karen will be in Jerusalem to serve the Messianic Pastors as they welcome the ‘First Nations’ group. The traditional First Nations protocol ceremony will take place at the port in Jaffa (Joppa) - the ancient gateway to Jerusalem, and then a prophetic welcoming celebration will continue in Jerusalem. We can’t wait to see what God will do through this gathering of tribes...

Lift up your heads, O you gates…and the King of Glory shall come in!

"Two thousand years ago, Yeshua commanded the disciples to take the Gospel from Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth. The Gospel has reached to the distant islands of the Pacific, exactly on the other side of the globe from Jerusalem.  And now, peoples from every tribe, tongue and nation are desiring to bring the Good News and to see God's Glory come back to Jerusalem - all in preparation for His glorious return!"  from the invitation letter written by Messianic Pastors.

We would like to say a huge thank you to those who have sponsored these trips to enable us to hold up the arms of the local body of Messiah in Israel in a very practical way!

Pray for Sarah

Holding Up the Helping Hands

Sometimes the hands that do the helping, also need holding up...

Helping Hand Coalition (HHC) is doing a vital work reaching out to Holocaust Survivors in Israel and supporting them in so many ways: financially; emotionally; socially; spiritually; physically.

Earlier this year, we were saddened to hear that Sarah, one of HHC’s key staff members and a good friend of Your People My People, was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. We are asking if you will stand with us to pray for her healing and to hold up the arms of one who has been a helping hand to so many. We are praying also for her husband Luke, who also works for HHC, and baby daughter Essie (Esther) at this difficult time.

Sarah has already started chemotherapy which has taken a lot of her strength, and means she has had to give up working for the time being.

Last month, she began her second round of chemo. It was a rough beginning and once home, she developed a fever and was instructed to go to ER.  She was in horrific pain and extreme headaches and her white blood count was extremely low.

She was diagnosed with meningitis and quarantined in hospital.  Thankfully, her temperature went down and her white blood count returned to normal but this viral attack led to her next round of Chemo being postponed.

Here is Sarah’s latest update:

Shalom Friends & Family,
My white blood cells are really low again, even with the daily booster injections. Since I'm still feeling very weak, nauseous & have the low count, the next chemo session is being postponed another week so that my body can recover. My doctor says that even though my body is taking the chemo really hard, the tumour is still continuing to shrink, which is great! Thank God!
Please pray that my body bounces back to full strength, I really need it both physically and emotionally. Luke seems to have the sniffles so please pray also that it goes away & that he doesn't get sick, which would be very dangerous for me!
Lastly, it's been very difficult to sleep at night, insomnia is part of the side effects- & it's made worse by Essie waking up in the middle of the night. Please pray that she begins to sleep through the night so that I can get some much needed rest!
Thanks xoxo

Please continue to keep Sarah and her family  in prayer!
