WHAT WILL THEIR ACCEPTANCE BRING?

FOR IF THEIR REJECTION LEADS TO THE RECONCILIATION OF THE WORLD, WHAT WILL THEIR ACCEPTANCE BRING?

Jewish people are coming to faith in their Messiah and there are now around 15,000 followers of Yeshua (Jesus) in Israel. As Paul shared in Romans 11, if their rejection of the Gospel led to the reconciliation of the whole world then we can only imagine what amazing spiritual riches will come from their returning to the Lord!

Throughout 2017, groups of young Israelis have been going out onto the streets to pray for healing and share the Gospel.

The roots of this initiative began just before Yom Kippur, September 2016. A group of girls started a 40 day fast praying for breakthrough and particularly for a coming to faith of many in their generation. Other young believers joined them and an excitement grew to see God move among the young people in Israel. A ‘WhatsApp’ group was set up so they could encourage each other as the movement spread up and down the country. The WhatsApp group now has around 100 members and many of these young Israelis have been inspired to go out on the streets to talk to people about Yeshua and to offer prayer for healing.

One young believer received a word of knowledge in Tel Aviv bus station that someone had a bad ankle. He went around asking if anyone had problems with their ankle – eventually he found a young soldier who had had problems for a long time. The young man prayed for this soldier and he was healed, right there in the middle of the busy bus station!

This group of young people have been seeing amazing answers to prayer and have been sharing their testimonies with each other to encourage themselves to keep on reaching out. Asher Intrater, a Messianic Pastor and leader of Revive ministry described it as, “A new wave of evangelism - probably the best I’ve seen in a long time.”

In October (2017), Your People My People had the privilege to witness the fruit of the Great Commission - Christians from the ends of the earth, from New Zealand and the Pacific Islands and from China and many other nations, returning to Jerusalem to thank the Jewish people for receiving and bringing the Gospel to the whole world through Jewish Believers like the Apostle Paul. They convened in Jerusalem to bring a physical witness that the Gospel had reached them and was now coming full circle back to the land from where it was birthed. This event, organised by Messianic Pastor Avi Mizrachi along with other Israeli Pastors was called, ‘Welcoming the King of Glory’. The event took place fairly humbly, under the radar, but seemed to those who attended to have a monumental impact in the Spirit. Asher Intrater described it as a turning point, a re-positioning as representatives of Nations came into alignment. There was a huge amount of excitement and expectation that the Lord was about to do something new.

As we set out into 2018, we sense that God is moving. Over 2,000 years ago the first Jewish followers of Jesus began the Great Commission and now it has reached the ends of the earth. Is that it? No, as Paul described in Romans 11. The Gospel has to come full circle. The veil over the eyes of the Jewish people was for a purpose and a limited time. Is now the time for the eyes of the Jewish people to be opened - to recognise Yeshua (Jesus), the promised Messiah and Saviour? We know our friends in Israel are praying for the Spirit of God to breathe life into Ezekiel’s dry bones and for revival to come to the Holy Land.

The Arab Christians in the land also have a unique opportunity to demonstrate the Gospel to their Jewish neighbours. Arab youth have recently been touched and empowered by the Holy Spirit and emboldened to live out the Gospel. Groups of Arab youth are interceding regularly and doing 24 hour prayer watches for God to move in their nation among both the Arab and Jewish communities.

A new generation is rising up!

PRAY for the Israeli believers as they reach out with the Gospel. Bless those who are going out onto the streets and who are praying for revival in their nation.

PRAY for the young people who are passionate to see God move in their generation.

PRAY for good soil, hearts that have been prepared, that many will hear and believe!

LIFE FROM THE DEAD!
