Telling God's Story
About 120 Israeli and Palestinian youth are coming together, this summer, to participate in a worship camp where they will learn about music, media and most of all about making friends!
Every summer, Jerusalem based ministry 'Dor Haba' (which means 'Next Generation' in Hebrew) runs a camp to inspire and equip the next generation in their walk with the Lord with a special focus on worship.
Signed up this year are about 76 Messianic Jewish Israelis and 44 Arab Christians (including 30 from the West Bank and Gaza).
This past month Dor Haba has been delving into preparations for this year’s camp. “It is exciting to see how God is bringing it together,” shared Tal, who runs Dor Haba. “The theme this year will be “Telling God’s Story Through Music, Art, and Media. The messages at the camp will be focused around learning God’s whole story, a beautiful and intricate story of love, redemption, victory, and justice.”
“After praying about it, we felt that this year it is time to really encourage the youth not only to use their giftings to minister to the Lord and the body of Messiah here in the land but to use their giftings to be a light! To tell His story!"
At the camp, there’ll be songwriting, recording, preparing worship sets, creating works of art and producing short films and animations – all with the heart of communicating God’s story to the world around them in their own language – Hebrew and Arabic.
“We have always encouraged them to go deeper and become more intimate with the Lord in that place of prayer and worship. But we believe that from that place of intimacy God can shoot them out powerfully as arrows into society and culture here in Israel.”

The youth will be able to learn guitar, voice, drums, darbuka (middle eastern drum), bass, electric guitar, violin, and cello. Media students will learn video production, animation, art, choreography, and photography.
Worship teams will work on writing songs and recording them in the makeshift studio set up at the camp. 46 of the students have already been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write whole songs or parts of songs… God is preparing them ahead of the camp!
The purpose of the main sessions in the evenings is to draw them into the full story, plan and purposes of God. In their classes and workshops, they will work on expressing that story through art, music, and media, and in their own languages.
Pray that the creativity of the Creator will be abundant and that He will give them fresh songs and fresh ideas to collaborate on.
From One Generation to the Next - Psalm 78:2-4
Many of the youth whose lives were changed and impacted by previous camps are coming this year as staff members, to help with logistics or as small group leaders for those younger than them. How beautiful is that! These seeds that have been sown over the years have flourished and are now helping to raise up a new generation!
Pray that God will speak His word through them and that He will bless the discipleship they do with the younger ones at the camp. Pray they will be anointed to tell His story, His plan, and His wonders to the next generations.
"Quite a lot of the West Bank youth who are coming are only nominal Christians and do not personally know the Lord yet," shared Tal, "And I know that several of the Israeli Messianic youth are backslidden or questioning their faith right now. I really feel that this is a year for salvations and re-dedication of lives. Please pray for this with us. We will have a “prayer room” set up at the camp where youth can go to get prayer at any time.
"In prayer, our team has felt that this year is also a year for inner healing and deliverance. For them personally and corporately, and for deliverance from hatred between their people-groups."
Please keep this very special camp in your prayers. We are believing for a powerful encounter with God for each one of these young people. We can't wait to hear the testimonies of all the Lord will accomplish - breaking down barriers, transforming hearts and building His Kingdom in the next generation!
