Preparing a Place for His Presence in Nazareth

In Nazareth, HOPE House of Prayer and Exploits are preparing a place for His presence - they are 'Enlarging the place of their tent, stretching their tent curtains wide, not holding back; lengthening their cords, strengthening their stakes." (paraphrasing from Isaiah 54:2)

For some time now, HOPE has had a vision to increase their space. In one of those 'suddenly' moments that God so loves to reveal, Rania, an Arab Christian who founded and leads the House of Prayer was introduced to an Estate Agent who just so happened to be one of her classmates from 30 years ago. She shared the vision of HOPE with him and the things on her heart to do. He loved the vision and told her about a commercial building that he had built. Again, it just so happened that one of his tenants was in the process of moving out and he offered to take Rania to view the space.

"When I entered the space," shared Rania. "I actually felt a lot of peace and not only that, there was a surprising feeling of joy in my heart."

The space is 200 square meters divided into two separate areas: On one side is a hall that can hold meetings for around 75-80 people with an attached room that could be used as an office. It works perfectly for HOPE's prayer room, regular meetings and training days for youth and women.

On the other side, is a fully functioning cafĂ© with all the equipment ready and waiting to be used. Around 30-35 people could meet here around tables for training or fellowship.

Rania could see what a great place this was to gather young people around a coffee. "People can come here for fellowship, connection, a place of safety - people can come and sit in an atmosphere of worship - it can be a place of refuge for young people and women."

This is an amazing space where HOPE can hold their events: training days and seminars on prayer and healing for Arab women and for young people and events for Jewish and Arab Believers together. And with the added bonus of a place for fellowship with food and where those coming to events can connect together in a lovely atmosphere. HOPE's current location hosts their prayer watches and worship nights for young people but is too small for bigger events like women's training days and seminars. Until now, they have needed to rent larger locations for bigger events but with this new space, they can hold so many activities in their own space.

Rania shared: "As I continued pursuing this, praying into this, the Lord began to give me a couple of promises and awaken something inside of me. One of the promises that was very deep in my heart and has awakened my spirit when I was there and I was seeking God's heart for it, was Isaiah 49:19

"Lift up your head and look all around you. See! All your children, your builders, gather to come back to you. As surely as I live, I make this promise,” says Yahweh. “You will wear them all like jewels, as a radiant bride wears her beautiful jewellery!"

(The Passion Translation)

"A powerful promise for the preparation of the Bride. Not only that, but, it's for the restoration of this generation of the 'builders' of our children both Arab and Jew here in the Land.

"The other thing the Lord was filling my heart with was the promise from Isaiah 61 and it's also in Luke 4:18. This is really the theme of our ministry.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, healing for the broken hearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, ‘You are set free!’ I have come to share the message of Jubilee, for the time of God’s great acceptance has begun.” (TPT)

Rania continued, "I felt like this one is for us - a year of Jubilee - we are to dip into the fullness of what this scripture is all about. And here in Nazareth, this is the place where it came from and the Lord spoke to me that He wants to release that in even greater fullness - to step into Luke 4:18 and declare a year of Jubilee for Israel and for the nations of the earth."

The new premises the Lord led them to amazingly matched HOPE's requirements for this time, including a larger gathering space, an office and a coffee area. They are almost ready to move in.

"We still need to finish the paintwork in both the gathering space and the coffee area, install tiles on the wall next to the cooking area in the coffee shop, fit some kitchen cabinets and add extra bathrooms in the meeting room," shared Rania.

The space is available to rent for now but there is a possibility that it will be for sale in the future with an option of including another floor. After some time in prayer the HOPE team felt to move forward with this new building opportunity, they are now in a time of preparing the space and will be moving on the 1st of November.

HOPE House of Prayer and Exploits in Nazareth is doing such an amazing work in healing and releasing Arab women into their calling; raising up and training Arab young people and being a catalyst for Arab and Jewish Believers coming together.  If the Lord puts it on your heart to give into this vision monthly or even a one time gift to help cover the expenses, you can donate here and note that your gift is for HOPE.
