LOOKING FORWARD >>>

As the calendar turns, it’s an opportunity to take stock - to let go of what was and open our hearts to seek what God is already doing in preparation for the next season.

A popular quotation says, “Don’t live in the past, learn from it and move on." When we look back, it’s easy to dwell on past failures, regrets, and missed opportunities. When we release yesterday’s weight, we make room for a fresh move of God in our lives.

Be alert to the new thing—it is already springing forth. God’s work often begins quietly: a gentle nudge, a changed desire, a door that opens where none seemed possible. Trust that He is at work even in places that feel barren; He promises to make a way in the wilderness and to bring streams into the wasteland. What looks impossible to us is fertile ground for His miracles.

Step into this year with expectant faith. Choose hope over fear, obedience over hesitation, and gratitude over regret. Let your prayers be simple: “Lord, help me perceive Your new thing; give me courage to follow.” As you move forward, keep your eyes on God’s faithfulness rather than on past setbacks.

This is also our prayer for the people we work with in Israel. These last few years have been horrendous in so many ways. A recent government report stated that almost 50,000 young people in Israel are being treated for mental trauma. The suicide rate among young men particularly, who can’t live with the visuals of what they experienced, has skyrocketed. The ministries and individuals we are supporting are standing in the midst of all the suffering offering hope and healing through the power of Yeshua (Jesus), the Prince of Peace and the one who is above every power and principality. We pray that the past will not overwhelm broken lives but new hope will spring forth in barren ground.

Blessing for the year ahead: May you sense God’s guiding hand carving paths where there were none. May dry places be refreshed, and may every step you take be met with His provision and peace. Amen.
